Corrosion protection and rope access composite blade repairs

Since 2013 OPS technicians have been and continue to be actively deployed to many projects on the Gwynt-y-Mor offshore windfarm; over the years our technicians have completed a broad range of specialist tasks that include:

  • Corrosion inspections and complete corrosion protection applications to the base TP’s across the whole windfarm
  • Corrosion inspections and complete corrosion applications to the wind turbine structure
  • Corrosion inspections and complete corrosion applications to the sub-stations
  • Detailed and thorough blade inspections across the wind turbine estate
  • Detailed and intricate composite blade repairs to the wind turbine blades across the wind farm

Gwynt- y-Mor windfarm has an operational capacity of 576MW; it is located 14km off the north Wales coast, within Liverpool Bay in the Irish Sea; the windfarm covers about 79kmĀ² and includes 160 wind turbines.
